Dulux Colour of the Year 2015: Copper Blush
From lights to pans, candle holders and vases, the love affair with warm metallics seems no closer to ending. Which is fine with us. So besotted are we with copper, we created our Colour of the Year to not only take inspiration from these coppery hues, but to compliment them perfectly. So, welcome, Copper Blush.
It would seem we’re not the only ones that have a little bit of obsession with these coppery tones as the Spring/ Summer 2015 fashion shows illustrated. With copper eyes at the Alexis Mabille, a shimmery, copper blush glow to the skin at Chloe and lashings of metallics in pretty much every hue at Tom Ford’s collection, it’s evident the fashion world shares our love affair.
Copper Blush is a perfect take on this metallic trend, but adopting a chalkier, cooler finish than the metallic family, the colour really comes alive when combined with pink, clay toned neutrals, crisp white as well as shimmering metallics.
