Dulux is transforming community spaces across the UK with the power of colour

Announcing the winners of Dulux’s Colour of the Year Community Initiative

Trio of fantastic winners announced for makeovers using our transformative blue shades designed to soothe, steady or excite your shared spaces.

Following a nationwide campaign where the public nominated local community spaces to win a transformation using the Colours of the Year 2026, Dulux has announced the lucky winners in each category:

Mellow Flow Project winner - spaces to cosy up, connect, and feel welcome

Café 50, Pontyclun

Located in the heart of Pontyclun, Café 50 is a dedicated social and nutritional hub for the over 50s, providing a welcoming environment for local residents to socialise, get involved in quizzes or craft sessions, and access affordable meals.

Slow Swing Project winner - spaces to connect, think big and find calm stillness

Newcastle Deaf Centre

For decades, the Newcastle Deaf Centre has provided vital services to the local deaf community, to help reduce isolation and promote equality. Last year, the Centre became the training venue for Hearing dogs for Deaf People, as well as offering student placements and young leader mentorship.

West Ham Community Health & Boxing Club

For more than 150 years, West Ham Community Health & Boxing Club has been part of the fabric of the East End, providing inclusive opportunities that support physical health, mental wellbeing and positive life outcomes for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Winners were selected from over 300 entries by a judging panel comprising the Dulux partnerships team and VIY (Volunteer It Yourself) members, an organisation that works with 14–24-year-olds to complete volunteer DIY projects whilst helping them learn vocational trade skills.

We would like to congratulate the winning community spaces which will be transformed in 2026 with Dulux paint. Over the course of their four-year partnership, Dulux and VIY have transformed over 200 community spaces through Dulux’s Let’s Colour initiative, positively impacting 120,000+ lives across the UK.
