Three celestial events are on us this week (in case you haven’t noticed) - the Spring equinox, a solar eclipse and a Supermoon – lucky us. There must be something in the stars, because we’ve noted a trend for all things cosmic in the realm of homes and interiors.

First off, rug designer Jan Kath’s award-winning Spacecrafted rug for Front London. Inspired by the vivid colours from the Hubble space telescope, these designs are hand-knotted by specialist weavers using a palette of 60 colours to create the illusion of depth – sure to take you to another dimension.

Moroso is winning the space race with its My Moon My Mirror Table, a whimsical take on a mirrored coffee table that puts the man on the moon in the literal sense.

Meanwhile Flos’ IC table light is an ethereal beauty, channelling a planetary vibe in a firmly elegant fashion.

Finally, Seletti and Diesel are on a mission to create a whole new meaning to the phrase space food with the intergalactic Cosmic Diner Collection range of ceramics. So you can actually claim that you've eaten dinner on Jupiter, Pluto or Mars.
