So many people don't get around to painting their woodwork when they update or refresh the colours of their walls. Considering the colour of your woodwork and radiators can make the difference between a nice room and a really special one. There are three main looks that you could create. Firstly, a lighter woodwork to your wall colour, which most people go for.
Here I have chosen Muddy Puddle, a mid-neutral, for the walls and a complementary cream, Timeless, for the woodwork, which gives a softer effect than white.

Or you could use the same colour on your walls and woodwork. All of the colours in our main range can be matched at the Tailor Made Colour display and mixed in which ever finish you need. So although Muddy Puddle isn't available in paint for wood and metal in our main colour range I have had it mixed in Satinwood for the skirting. Painting your skirting and walls the same colour will make your walls seem taller - it's all a trick of the eye. |

Lastly, if you would like to pick out your woodwork with a darker colour, choose a shade which is a darker version of your wall colour. Here I have accented Natural Calico with Coffee Liqueur on the skirting. |

Not many of us have the benefit of living in property with beautiful radiators but so many people paint them in white gloss which inadvertently highlights them against the wall. To play down unsightly radiators, match their colour to your walls by painting them in a satinwood for wood and metal. Here I have used Muddy puddle on both.
Another idea is to hide them away completely with a radiator cover which can also be painted the same colour as your walls. A top tip when doing this is to paint the radiator and wall behind the cover black. This will make it disappear altogether. |
