The secret of a good finish when painting the walls is to do one wall at a time. Start by cutting in up against the ceiling line, ensuring not to get any paint on the ceiling line itself. Cutting in one to two metres of an area prior to painting with a roller will achieve the best finish.

When rolling the surface the best technique to use is a W shape as this will create an even coating across the surface. Then use a light up and down movement over the surface will avoid 'orange peel' as the product dries.
Repeat this process across your first wall and then continue it on to the other walls.
The paint I'm using is Endurance paint from Dulux. This is designed to be ten times tougher, more durable and more washable then other vinyl matt paints.
