Dulux Satinwood creates a mid-sheen satin finish, providing a subtle, attractive alternative to gloss. It is self-undercoating, hardwearing, wipeable and suitable for use on interior wood and metal, including radiators.
Whilst leading-edge technology has been used in the development of this product, the nature of solvent-based paints means that they will all discolour over time. The rate of discolouration is faster in areas of no or low natural light or UV light. For long-lasting whiteness, we recommend the use of a water-based formulation.
The classic simple Brilliant White.
Coverage: Up to 16m²/litre
Remove flaking or defective paint and sand down the surface to remove any sheen. Refer to health, safety and environmental information.
Make sure the surface is clean (no dirt or grease) and dry.
If a bare surface, apply the appropriate Dulux Primer. Treat any knots in wood with a suitable knotting solution. If the surface is damaged, repair using the appropriate Polycell product. When painting radiators, make sure that they are cold.
Drying time: 16 hours
Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed.
Apply 1 or 2 coats with a brush, leave at least 16 hours between coats. TIP: if the colour change is strong, more coats may be required.
Leave for 16 hours to dry. Newly painted doors and windows should not be closed and radiators should not be heated until paint is fully dry.
For best results, scrape off excess paint from the brush and clean with Polycell Brush Cleaner.
Store paint in dry conditions and protect from extreme temperatures.
