Weathershield Exterior One Coat Gloss
Weathershield Exterior One Coat Gloss has a beautiful high gloss finish, perfect for renewing the paintwork on your front doors and windows.
Usage guide
Surface preparation
Remove any flaking or defective paint. Sand down to remove any sheen. Ensure the surface
is clean and dry. Mould Growth: Remove and treat any mould, algae, lichen or moss with an appropriate fungicidal wash.
Treat any knots in wood with a suitable knotting solution. Apply the preservative primer to bare wood. Wipe excess primer off surrounding paintwork and knots.
Prepare any bare metal and prime with 1 coat of Dulux Primer for Metal.
Surface defects should be repaired using the appropriate Polycell Polyfilla product.
When painting plastic gutters and pipes contact the Customer Care Centre at ICI Paints for
advice.
Do not use below 10°C, immediately after rain, fog or frost or when these conditions are
forecast.
How to use
Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed.
Apply 2 coats of Weathershield Exterior Undercoat to primed surfaces.
Finish with 1 coat of Weathershield Exterior One Coat Gloss. Some dark colours may need a further coat.
When painting resinous wood on south facing surfaces, it is advisable to use light colours only.
Do not use or store paint in extremes of temperature.
Newly painted doors should not be closed (tightly) until paint is fully dry.
