Once Matt

Dulux Once Matt has been specially formulated to give you the perfect finish in just one coat, guaranteed. Its concentrated formulation means you only need one coat to get the quality finish you would expect from Dulux, in a fraction of the time.

Surface preparation

Read the Health, Safety and Environmental Information on side of pack. Remove any loose or flaking material. Ensure surfaces to be painted are clean, dry and free from dirt and grease. Seal new, bare absorbent surfaces with Dulux Once Matt thinned 10% with clean water. For best results, seal very porous surfaces with Dulux Sealer for Plaster. Surface defects should be repaired using the appropriate Polycell product. Do not apply in very damp or humid conditions and when room temperatures are below 10°C

How to use

Read all instructions carefully before use. Stir thoroughly with a palette knife or similar implement before use. Lightly dampen the roller with water, then load evenly and generously with paint. Apply a thick, even coat taking care not to spread the paint too far. Corners and edges should be painted using a brush. If areas have been missed during application, these may be touched up rather than overcoating the whole area as the paint will dry to match the original coat. Allow a minimum of 4 hours before touching up. Failure to apply correctly may result in a second coat being required, particularly if overpainting a darker colour with a lighter topcoat.

Health and safety

Water-based Paint: Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. When applying it is advisable to wear eye protection. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvent, thinners or white spirit. Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Do not use or store by hanging on a hook. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. Left over product may be taken to a Community RePaint collection point (www.communityrepaint.org.uk). Some local authorities have special facilities for disposing of waste paint. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
