Interior & Exterior Woodsheen (WB)

Dulux Interior & Exterior Woodsheen (WB) gives beautiful, long lasting colour and durable protection to wood surfaces inside and outside of your home. Can be used on bare or previously stained interior and exterior planed wood such as window frames, doors, cladding, skirting, shelving, furniture and panelling. Its special formulation stains and varnishes in one, so colour gets locked into the wood whilst the surface is sealed and hardened to protect it from everyday wear and tear.

Surface preparation

Read the Health, Safety and Environmental Information on pack. Sand the surface to remove any sheen from existing woodstain or provide a 'key' for bare wood, using an appropriate abrasive paper. Sanding in the direction of the grain will avoid putting scratches across the grain, which may spoil the finish. Surfaces should be dry and free from dirt and algae etc. Wood that has been painted or varnished should be stripped back to bare wood and treated as bare wood.

How to use

Do not stir. Please note that the final colour will depend upon wood type, previous treatment and the number of coats applied, and may look different to the colour in the can. For best results, apply 2 coats. For maximum protection on surfaces exposed to extreme weather, 3 coats should be applied. brush on using light even strokes in the direction of the, grain, taking care to avoid overlap. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly to 2-4 hours before applying the next. Sand lightly between coats and wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use in temperatures below 5 degrees or in high humidity.

Health and safety

Water-based woodstain. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. When applying it is advisable to wear eye protection. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. After contact with skin, wasg immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvent, thinners or white spirit. Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this ocntainer or label. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. Left over product may be taken to a Community RePaint collection point (www.communityrepaint.org). Some local authorities have special facilities for disposing of waste paint. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precuations should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
