Sand down to remove any sheen. Ensure the surface is clean and dry.
Treat any knots in wood with a suitable knotting solution.
Apply the appropriate Dulux Primer to bare surfaces.
Surface defects should be repaired using the appropriate Polycell product.
Radiators must only be painted when cold.
How to use
Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed.
Apply 2 coats of Dulux Ecosense Satinwood using a good quality synthetic brush.
Allow 6 hours between coats, longer when cold and damp.
Where a strong colour change is involved, more coats may be required.
Very slight variations in colour may occur between different cans of coloured paint.
Newly painted doors should not be closed (tightly) until paint is fully dry.
Health and safety
Water-based paint. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. When applying it is advisable to wear eye protection. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvent, thinners or white spirit. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. Left over product may be taken to a Community RePaint collection point (www.communityrepaint.org.uk). Some local authorities have facilities for disposal of waste paint. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
