Colour Mixing Kitchen
Dulux colour mixing Kitchen is an exceptionally tough matt paint - specially formulated with Diamond Technology, it is 10 times tougher than our conventional matt and silk emulsion paint.

Surface preparation
To get the best results with Dulux Kitchen, make sure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry).
Before surface preparation, read the information in the Safety, Health And Environmental Information section about old lead paints.
Any surface defects should be filled with the appropriate Polycell Polyfilla product.
For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient mixed paint for each job including touch in at one time from the same source.
General preparation: Remove any loose or flaking paint. Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease etc. Treat surfaces affected by mould growth with a suitable fungicidal wash. Sand down to remove any sheen.
Seal new, bare and porous surfaces with a thinned coat of Dulux Kitchen (10% clean water). Porous surfaces, including previously unpainted patterned textured ceiling coatings, new buildings that have a plasterboard finish and wallcoverings that are suitable for painting (not vinyl or washables) should be sealed with Dulux Plaster Sealer for best results.
How to use
Stir thoroughly with a palette knife or similar implement before use.
For normal use thinning is not required. However, in hot weather and warm environments, up to 10% clean water may be added and stirred in to ease application.
Apply 1 or 2 coats using a suitable brush or roller. Allow a minimum of 6 hours between coats. When conditions are colder, more time must be allowed for the first coat to dry. Allow a minimum of 24 hours for the paint to fully dry.
Precautions: Do not use this paint on radiators and other heated surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the painted surface. Vigorous scouring may impair the finish. Do not use or store the paint in extremes of temperature.
Clean the painted surface using a very soft cloth and clean soapy water. Protect the paint from frost. Very slight variation in colour may occur between different cans of coloured paint. When using more than one can it is adviseable to mix them together in a larger container or finish in a corner before starting a new can.
Health and safety
Water-Based Paint
Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. When painting it is advisable to wear eye protection. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvent, thinners or white spirit.
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use or store by hanging on a hook. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. Some local authorities have special facilities for disposing of waste paint.
Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. For further advice contact ICI Paints Technical Group, at ICI Paints, Wexham Road, Slough, SL2 5DS Tel: 0870 444 11 11
