Can I paint over varnished wood?

Answer

We do not recommend painting over varnished wood. The easiest way to remove varnish is by using Polycell Advanced Paint Stripper that rapidly strips up to 15 layers of paint or varnish. You should then prime bare wood with Dulux Wood Primer followed by your preferred finish.
